A note from Karin

Your host

Hello, I’m Karin S. de Boer, your host. I co-founded Barrio Fuente, a small part of Góchar, and have been restoring its old houses since 1997. Slowly but surely, I’m breathing new life into this almost forgotten hamlet. Alongside my work in film, I’ve made my home here, and I love sharing this place and its delights with guests. I live nearby if you need me, and I’m happy to give you the space you’ve come here for.

Barrio Fuente

An old place with room for new thoughts.

Barrio Fuente is a small rural hamlet near Sorbas, in inland Almería. Its restored spaces sit among old stone, quiet tracks and an expansive landscape. Life here moves gently; the village has kept its unhurried character.
